Alan Myers, CFA
My passion for stocks and investing began when I was twelve years old and discovered the stock pages in the newspaper. I was intrigued by all of the numbers on the page. This led me to pick up a copy of How to Buy Stocks by Louis Engel on my next trip to the library. After reading that book, I was hooked.
I earned my Bachelors at Guilford College (go Fighting Quakers!) and my MBA from Washington University, St. Louis (go Bears!). After grad school, I worked for mutual fund giant T. Rowe Price for several years. While at T. Rowe Price, I earned the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation. After leaving the company, with the support of family and friends I realized my dream of launching my own investment advisory firm in June 2003. I have taught college courses on finance, investment analysis, options and financial planning. I have been quoted in leading financial publications including Financial Advisor magazine and Investment Advisor magazine. In my spare time away from investing, I sit on the Board for Valley/Bridge House. My wife and I are actively involved in animal rescue organizations for homeless dogs. Adopt! Don't shop!. |
